That's when I stumbled across the UBY project - an amazing project which needs more recognition. However, after a day's work wrangling it into a database I realised that there were far too many errors (especially with the part-of-speech tagging) for it to be viable for Word Type.įinally, I went back to Wiktionary - which I already knew about, but had been avoiding because it's not properly structured for parsing. This caused me to investigate the 1913 edition of Websters Dictionary - which is now in the public domain. I initially started with WordNet, but then realised that it was missing many types of words/lemma (determiners, pronouns, abbreviations, and many more). The dictionary is based on the amazing Wiktionary project by wikimedia. And since I already had a lot of the infrastructure in place from the other two sites, I figured it wouldn't be too much more work to get this up and running. I had an idea for a website that simply explains the word types of the words that you search for - just like a dictionary, but focussed on the part of speech of the words. Both of those projects are based around words, but have much grander goals. If you have any suggestions, or if you find a major error, please share with us and we will use your feedback to improve our service. For those interested in a little info about this site: it's a side project that I developed while working on Describing Words and Related Words. About 82 million (8.2 crore) people speak Telugu as their native language. Among these, the Telugu language is the most widely used Indian language in the world. We already support twelve Indian languages. Our goal is to work on translation from English and other international languages to Indian languages. Our languages are very rich, and have a lot of nuances that the computer programs cannot easily understand, but we do hope that with time, the quality will only get better. Our software is being improved continuously and with your continued support, we will be able to make our neural machine translation for English to Telugu more accurate. The translation results can give you an overall idea of what the text is about, and with a few modifications, the translation can be quite accurate. Our translation system has been designed with a very large amount of English Telugu translation data. The translation results are generally very accurate, but not 100% accurate. The translation process takes a very short time, generally less than a few seconds, and translates the text in a single request to our server. The server will then then translate the text your have provided - English word, phrase, sentence, or paragraphs - into Telugu. You can type the text you want to translate in the input text box, and then click on the “Translate” button. ![]() ![]() ![]() This English to Telugu Translation system is powered by our own machine translation software running on our servers.
